Gilbert is close to returning to the line-up after suffering a concussion. He is listed as questionable for Friday night's game.

Among the forwards not on the IR, Hemsky and Reasoner are questionable. Both or neither could play on Friday; Brodziak's return to Wilkes-Barre is most likely the product of finally have 6 defensemen instead of only 5. Not that Toby was doing an awful good on defense, but he's not a defenseman by trade.


In other news, (do I say that too much?) the Flames are suddenly Oilers fans. Way to think that you are in control of your own destiny, if you have to put your hopes on a team that is currently on a 12 game losing streak to help you out. I say you should be more concerned about your own team winning, instead of hoping for the Oilers to beat the Avalanche.
